Russian Marketing Student’s Impressions of Utrecht

Utrecht is one of the oldest cities in the Netherlands and geographically located in the heart of the country very close to the other main cities: Amsterdam, Rotterdam and Den Haag. Utrecht mainly attracts tourists with its beautiful two level channels around the city and the tower of St. Maarten’s Cathedral, which was built in the 14^th Century. It is also known as a student’s city because of the big Utrecht University. That was my basic knowledge of Utrecht before I came to see it.

After living her for two months I find Utrecht with its old architecture, national museums and beautiful green channels a very nice city to live in. There are lots of opportunities both to develop your knowledge and to enjoy your free time. It is easy to find new friends, especially if you go out on a Thursday and Saturday evening to the city centre. Utrecht is a great city to lead an international student life.
